Enjoy the guided tour of the Hillwood Estate. The mansion is the former home of cereal heiress Marjorie Merriweather Post. Highlights include a diamond crown worn by Empress Alexandra at her marriage to Nicholas II; Beauvais tapestries designed by François Boucher; two Imperial Easter eggs by Carl Fabergé; La Nuit by William-Adolphe Bouguereau; and a collection of costumes and accessories worn by Mrs. Post or her family. The greenhouse and formal gardens are set among 25 acres of wooded hillsides located in the heart of Washington, D.C Enjoy guided garden tour and lunch. Check in to Bethesda Marriott 4-star hotel located in the heart of Bethesda's walkable Downtown neighborhood, this new high-rise offers luxurious amenities and a sunny, modern living space. Enjoy dinner at an upscale brewpub chain serving house beers & imaginative pub food in lively environs. Day 2 Visit White House Visitor’s Center Within the White House Visitor Center, you can watch a 14-minute film that takes you inside the White House and the First Families). Explore nearly 100 artifacts, to include President Lincoln’s telegraph key used to communicate with Gen. Grant during Robert E. Lee’s Surrender, an interactive touchscreen tour of the white house and gift shop to find the perfect souvenir! You will enjoy a Stop for a photo opportunity at the White House, The National World War I Memorial, The Vietnam Veterans Memorial, The Lincoln Memorial, The Korean War Veterans Memorial, The National World War II Memorial, The Franklin D. Enjoy lunch on your own and free time at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery. Enjoy a Cherry Blossom Cruise on the Potomac onboard the Odyssey III Cruise Ship. Enjoy a welcome Signature Pink Drink, a narrative cruise of the sites along the river, dancing to our live band, and a delicious meal! Enjoy free time and evening on your own at the Wharf. The Wharf reestablished Washington, DC, as a waterfront city and destination. This remarkable, mile-long stretch along the Potomac River comes to life with restaurants, retailers, residences, and businesses—all complemented by monumental views and a vibrant culture. Day 4, Visit your choice of the Smithsonian Institution’s Museums on the National Mall before our return home.
